The 15K Time Trial course record was set by Jamie Bowen, 7/7/2013 with a time of :22:27. Anyone beating that time will receive a refund of their entry fee for the individual time trial that day and receive a free entry in the next 15K time trial.

The Smith Multisport 2018 Time Trial schedule is up. Get on your bikes, train and get ready to race... next Spring.

SMS has decided to hold a Team and an Individual Time Trial

for both "races of truth".

22K Time Trials

#1 - Saturday, June 2, 2018, 9AM

(This race is timed to prepare you for triathlon season.)

#2 - Saturday, August 4, 2018, 9AM

Race site is TBD (see below).

Teams can be all male, female or coed. The team finish time will be the last team member across the finish line.

The winning team prize for the Team Time Trial #2 is sponsored by Orrie McCrae. President of the Okefenokee Track and Cycling Club. The winning team will receive $40 and each team member will get a bottle of world famous, O-Mans Hottie Habernaro Sauce!

Race site... I was informed by one of the Laura Walker State Park managers, that the TTs must now apply 90 days in advance, reserve a shelter, pay a fee per individual PLUS parking fee, etc. per the State Park rules. I have always supported Laura Walker State Park and its why I have hosted the TTs there since the beginning. I love the place. But I will not raise the fees for the TTs. So I am currently considering other race sites on the same road so we can compare race times year to year. I will update once I have decided on a race site. And it may still be Laura Walker Park if we can reach an agreement.

Smith Multisport has a

Time Trial sponsor!

The Okefenokee Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The SMS FCA Time Trial registration fee is

$10. The FCA gets $5, SMS gets $5.

The RAAM Cycling Challenge Daytona, 11/10/12, was a great event. (Race Across AMerica) There was a 200 and 400 mile unsupported race and a 120 mile Gran Fondo supported ride as well (the 400 mile race was a RAAM qualifier). I couldn't find a support crew (driver for my truck) for the 200 mile race so happily rode the 120 miler. Put this on your calender for next year.

IronMan 70.3 Hawaii aka Ironman Honu

Epic day on the Kona Coast and the IM Honu.

June 2, 2012. It is on the famously

difficult end of the IronMan Hawaii World Championship bike course. The winds

can be more difficult there too.

raced to my fitness on a beautiful but difficult course under more difficult than normal conditions. My training for this course was close to my full Ironman training. I needed every minute of it. I finished.

And now I know how to help you finish it too.

Lo aloha la ea (Keep your love)

 HITS Triathlon Series

The new HITS Triathlon series is having a great start. I participated in the Naples, Fla half Ironman last January 13, 2012 for my season opener. And Naples is warm in early January! So if you're looking for your 1st Sprint triathlon to even Ironman, HITS has the distance for you, every month across the US. They even have a FREE, short, "Open" tri so you can see what it's all about.
